A new development in downtown Philadelphia required a strong look and feel that would help brand it for audiences of a huge retail conference in Las Vegas, at which the project was going to be introduced. The Seventh Art conducted an in-depth qualitative analysis of the downtown Philadelphia area – which included several onsite visits – and proposed to turn the nine-block project into an open air market. A naming exploration yielded the name East Market for the development, because it conveyed the younger Philadelphia mix that the developer sought out.
For East Market, The Seventh Art created a presentation package that included an oversized, broadsheet newspaper distributed at the ICSC Vegas show, along with an interactive iPad app that connected to a large screen monitor.
