MIXED-USE URBAN DESIGN PROJECT WITH EMPHASIS ON RETAIL
A new development in downtown Philadelphia required a strong look and feel that would help brand it for audiences of a huge retail conference in Las Vegas, at which the project was going to be introduced.
The seventh art conducted an in-depth qualitative analysis of the downtown Philly area – which included several on-site visits – and proposed to turn the nine-block project into an open air market. A naming exploration yielded the name East Market for the development, because it conveyed the younger Philadelphia mix that the developer sought out.
For East Market, the seventh art created a presentation package that included an oversized, broadsheet newspaper distributed at the ICSC Vegas show, along with an Interactive iPad app that connected to a large screen monitor.
