The strikingly original architecture, with its fanning bay windows and cutting-edge façade, warranted an equally out-of-the-box approach to branding. The Seventh Art created a complete brand strategy and marketing campaign that challenged the norm. The logo and underlying grid system references the architectural angles of the building, and textural details, enhancing the contrast in materials and reflection found on the exterior.

To convey the essence of this iconic property, we introduced dynamic graphics, asymmetrically folded floor plans and created an inspired video campaign, with artistic, dance inspired elements, breathing energetic motion into the brand.

The wordmark for Nujuma, a Ritz-Carlton Reserve, draws inspiration from the elegant yet traditional Arabic letteforms, and makes connections to the organic shapes present within the property’s architecture and topography. The brand identity combines a contemporary take on Arabic typography with contemporary elements and ligatures, that speaks to the elevated offering and rich cultural offering.

The Seventh Art created branding that is an elegant embodiment of the distinct brand DNA of the Four Seasons – a sophisticated vision of luxury modern living, blending it gracefully with the exclusive waterfront setting of Bahrain Bay – the Kingdom’s most sought-after destination.

The brand collateral, including the inspiring brand film, reflects sophisticated contemporary luxury, highlighting the highly personalized Four Seasons services and curated world-class amenities, exalting the feeling of discovery, wonder and happiness. Like the Four Seasons, the branding pushes boundaries with cutting edge work that brings innovation and inspiration to the forefront of an immersive experience.

This project was led by the inspired brand vision that The Seventh Art created, as well as the agency’s astute advice on the architectural style, which ensured consistency and synergy with the brand identity, and its graphic design elements and details.

The brand conveys the cultural richness associated with Columbia University and other prestigious institutions in the neighborhood, communicating a sense of curated history and luxurious academia. The branding was carried across various touch points, including a campaign telling the story of the architecture in relation to the energy of the neighborhood.

“The Seventh Art created an elegant, timeless, enduring brand for Vandewater that enabled the building to achieve record breaking price points for this Morningside Heights enclave. They worked synergistically with the project’s architect to create a coherent narrative that tapped into the culture of Columbia University and distinct architectural elements found in New York’s greatest buildings. The brand’s tagline, ‘A Brilliant Move” communicated to purchasers that moving up to Morningside Heights was a logical and strategic move. Every piece of imagery and collateral reinforced the message that Vandewater was a signature building steeped in history and relevance. Prior to the launch of sales at Vandewater the record price per square foot in the neighborhood had been $2,040. The average price per square foot for homes in Morningside Heights was nearly $1,400, and a Penthouse just sold for $2,245 per square foot.”

Through a highly collaborative process, the foundation of the project and brand positioning was established with the ultimate elite profile in mind. The naming reflects the prestige of the address, purchased from the nearby church. The brand embodies the building’s star architecture and design – absolutely unique, curated and respectful of the neighborhood’s history.

The Seventh Art created inspiring branding deliverables and premium collateral, including an exclusive collector’s item brandbook, that amplify the architectural themes, increasing the public’s awareness of them. The elegant campaign and brand development helped set apart 520 Park Avenue, making it one of the most anticipated launches, with enormous attention from the high-end real estate community, as well as the press.
