The Office of Design and Architecture, led by architect Eran Chen, is an accomplished firm that has been awarded several exciting projects in recent years. However, the firm’s own branding was sorely in need of an update that would match the progressive and beautiful work they were providing for a multitude of clients.
The Seventh Art met with ODA and its principals to get an understanding of the firm’s past, present and future goals, and also conducted a deep dive into the competitive set to figure out the best way to differentiate the ODA brand. The resulting brand positioning, logo, collateral pieces and web site set the firm apart while reflecting the aesthetic that ran throughout all of its work.
The Seventh Art’s branding created a clear image for the firm that was unlike its competition. The addition of “New York” under the “ODA” logo strongly tied the firm to its New York roots. Friendly photography conveyed that the firm put a premium on collaboration, not on attitude. The firm felt the branding was an honest, beautiful reflection of where it was and wanted to be moving forward.
