Situated right on Rittenhouse Square, 1616 Walnut Street is a historic, Art Deco building in the heart of Philadelphia. It underwent an extensive renovation in 2013, at which point it was developed into a luxury rental community and renamed Icon.
In addition to handling all branding for the project – including signage, renderings, web site, brochure and print ads – The Seventh Art ended up greatly impacted the design of the building. Art Deco-inspired photography and patterns helped establish Icon as a singular offering in Philadelphia, while The Seventh Art’s recommendation to bring Delos into the project helped evolve it into a full lifestyle offering.
The much buzzed-about Icon changed the rental landscape in Philadelphia, by commanding some of the highest residential rents in the city. The Seventh Art was credited with helping to put the building on the map, in a collaboration where brand strategy and design went virtually hand-in-hand.
